1 Dental Assistants and Hygienists Job in Indonesia

The day moves between patient prep, instrument trays, and chairside support that keeps appointments running on time.

Dental Assistants and Hygienists work alongside dentists to deliver patient care and maintain clinical operations. Assistants prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and hand instruments during procedures. Hygienists perform cleanings, take diagnostic images, apply preventive treatments, and educate patients on oral health. Most roles require completion of an accredited program—typically one year for assistants, two years for hygienists—plus state licensure or certification. Hygienists need an associate degree and must pass national and state board exams. Positions exist in private practices, community health centers, and specialty clinics, with hygienists holding more clinical autonomy than assistants.
