What this covers

This explains what JobConnect does with information when you use jobconnect.us.com. It does not cover the employers and job sites you reach by following a listing — once you leave, their own policies apply.

What is collected

Pages you view. Each request records the page's address, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string, the response status, how long the request took, and any campaign tags in the link you arrived by. Your IP address is not stored.

A short-lived session identifier. A random value in a cookie, described under Cookies below, so that several page views in one visit can be counted as one visit rather than several. It is not linked to a name, an email address, or anything you do elsewhere.

What you type into a form. The contact form takes your name, email address and message. The employer form takes the company name and website, a contact name and email address, an optional logo, and the details of the job being advertised. Both are used to answer you and to handle the listing, and nothing else.

There are no accounts on JobConnect, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile held about you.

How it is used

Aggregate page views tell us which pages are worth keeping and where the board is slow or broken. Form submissions are read and answered. Neither is sold, and neither is handed to advertisers or data brokers.

Who else sees it

The board runs on third-party hosting and database infrastructure, which necessarily processes the data above in order to serve the site. Listings themselves come from employers and job feeds; following one takes you to that employer's site, under their terms and their privacy policy.

How long it is kept

Page views are kept in aggregate for as long as they are useful for running the board. Messages you send are kept for as long as needed to deal with them.
