Employment type: Ongoing, Full Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary:$ 108,197 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation

Your Role:

Bring your trade, operational or industry expertise to a role where your skills can make a real difference. Whether your background is in Laundry Operations, Cleaning Operations, Horticulture, or Parks & Gardens, you’ll lead and mentor Overseers while coaching and supporting inmates to build practical, job-ready skills.

You’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering daily operations, driving productivity, efficiency and commercial outcomes while creating a positive, collaborative workplace. Your leadership will help prepare inmates for meaningful employment after release, while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, compliance and customer service.

  • Lead, coach and develop work teams to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Supervise, train and mentor inmates to build practical skills and work readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with CSNSW and CSI policies and probity requirements.
  • Manage budgets and resources to maximise productivity and operational outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant workplace for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors.

The Successful candidates are provided with paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Corrective Services Academy training facility.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III level qualification: Laundry Operations, Cleaning Operations, Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or related trades.
  • Certificate III Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframe
  • Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as required by role

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven trade experience
  • Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
