Corrugator Fitter

Role Details:

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Carole Park Board Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift 6:30am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Working in the Production Maintenance Department and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our production can run smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct preventative daily maintenance of the Corrugator machine and troubleshoot mechanical issues before they arise.
• Provide service to maintain production and resolution of operational or technical problems as needed on other equipment as and when needed.
• Ensure you work as a member of a cohesive team, while maintaining individual responsibility for the Corrugator.
• Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.
• You’ll be working Monday – Friday with overtime available and reporting to the Engineering Manager.

What you’ll bring:

• Trade qualification, in Mechanical Fitting or a related field.
• Ability to take onboard the in-depth understanding of the Corrugator machine, from its long-term operators.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to gain understanding the nuance of the Corrugator machine and the vital role of it in Visy Board production.
• Enthusiasm, energy and initiative with a focus on the team with open communication style.
• Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the required safety standards.
