Lead Expert GES Master Data Management Processes

Location: Barcelona, Spain

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Enterprise Services Master Data Management (GES MDM) organization as a Lead Expert GES MDM Processes.

As the highest-level individual contributor within the MDM Process stream, you will act as a global process authority for your area, owning the design, standards and harmonization of Master Data Management processes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT, MDM Services and MDM Technical Solutions to ensure that MDM processes are consistent, scalable and aligned with business needs across regions.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design and own Master Data Management processes within your area, ensuring alignment with group policies, standards and Delegations of Authority.
  • Ensure MDM processes meet business requirements and are validated by the relevant process stakeholders.
  • Maintain process documentation according to established standards and support internal, ISO and customer audits.
  • Support M&A initiatives and IT projects, including ERP implementations, by defining the appropriate Master Data setup and processes.
  • Lead work packages within solution implementation projects and facilitate process design workshops.
  • Partner with MDM Technical Solutions to implement processes and workflows in Informatica.
  • Work closely with IT teams to implement MDM solutions in SAP backend systems.
  • Collaborate with MDM Services to successfully implement process and solution changes and provide third-level support when required.
  • Drive and follow up on continuous improvement initiatives within your area.
  • Maintain continuous dialogue with business stakeholders and MDM Services to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Keep process documentation and data assets, including the data catalog, accurate and up to date.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Master Data Management.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, particularly Master Data objects within your area of expertise.
  • Experience in process modeling and process design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective and scalable MDM processes and solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, drive decisions and independently manage work packages.
  • A collaborative, open and inclusive mindset and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment and across different cultures.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
