Job Title: Workstream Project Manager – Architecture & Technology & Solution
Division: Group
Remote
Purpose of Role
The Workstream Project Manager – Architecture & Technology & Solution is accountable for driving day-to-day delivery execution across the S4+ Architecture, Technology and Solution workstreams, ensuring that architecture decisions, technical delivery, solution design, platform readiness and cross-stream technology dependencies are planned, coordinated, tracked and delivered in line with the integrated programme plan.
This role supports delivery of the S4+ target architecture and solution backbone across SAP S/4HANA core, surrounding SAP solutions, non-SAP platforms, integration, environments, data, security, tooling, testing, cutover and transition to support. The S4+ programme will implement a single SAP S/4 system across Minerals, ESCO and Corporate, with a target of 90% standardisation across core business processes and alignment to SAP fit-to-standard best practice.
The role works closely with the Chief Architect, S4+ Tech Lead, Integration Lead, Tooling SME, Product Domain Architects, Deloitte, SAP, PMO, Data, Security, Testing and Change teams to ensure solution and technology delivery remains aligned, governed and on plan.
The role is critical to ensuring S4+ delivers a harmonised, operable and future-ready technology platform that supports Weir’s Product Operating Model and Global Product Domains. Global Product Domains provide ownership of global processes, the data that underpins those processes, and the platforms and systems that enable them

The Board Paper identifies scalable cloud infrastructure, AI readiness, harmonised data and real-time analytics as key elements of the S4+ scope and future value.
Solution Design & Cross-Domain Alignment
- Coordinate delivery activity across solution design workstreams, ensuring functional, technical, data and integration activities remain aligned.
- Support end-to-end solution planning across value streams and Product Domains.
- Track solution design dependencies across domains such as Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Service, Engineering, Data and Procurement.
- Ensure open design issues are captured, prioritised and escalated through the right decision forums.
- Support alignment between business process design, solution architecture, technical delivery and future-state operating model.
- Help ensure design activity supports harmonised global value streams rather than re-creating local or divisional fragmentation.
- Reinforce the programme’s move away from fragmented, local or point-solution decision-making towards a single integrated global operating model aligned to SAP S/4HANA and future digital capabilities.
Integrated Planning, Dependencies & RAID Management
- Own detailed planning and dependency management for Architecture, Technology and Solution workstream activities.
- Maintain workstream plans and ensure they are aligned with the overall integrated programme plan.
- Identify and manage dependencies across architecture, functional domains, integration, data, security, testing, tooling, change, infrastructure and supplier teams.
- Maintain accurate RAID logs and ensure risks and issues have clear owners, mitigations, due dates and escalation routes.
- Track cross-workstream dependencies and ensure blockers are escalated early.
- Support PMO reporting with accurate, evidence-based status updates.
- Ensure programme leadership has clear visibility of critical technology and solution risks that may impact timeline, cost, quality or readiness.
SAP Activate Gate & Delivery Readiness Support
- Support SAP Activate-aligned planning and governance across Architecture, Technology and Solution workstreams.
- Track readiness against key phase gates, entry criteria and exit criteria.
- Ensure required evidence is collected and maintained for architecture, solution design, technical build, test readiness, deployment and hypercare.
- Support gate reviews by coordinating inputs from architecture, technology, integration, data, security, testing and partner teams.
- Identify gaps in readiness evidence and drive follow-up actions to closure.
- Help ensure workstream deliverables are audit-ready and aligned to programme governance expectations.
- Support the programme methodology, which combines SAP Activate alignment with agile ways of working and earlier system testing during design and build.
Tooling, Reporting & Delivery Controls
- Work with the Tooling SME and PMO to ensure Architecture, Technology and Solution workstream delivery is tracked in the agreed programme tools.
- Maintain accurate workstream reporting across plans, milestones, RAID, dependencies, decisions, actions and readiness status.
- Support the use of tools such as LeanIX, Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM, Tricentis, Jira, SharePoint and other programme repositories where relevant.
- Ensure delivery evidence, architecture artefacts, decision records and technical status updates are maintained consistently.
- Support traceability between architecture decisions, solution designs, backlog items, test evidence and delivery milestones.
- Provide clear and concise reporting for programme governance, workstream meetings and leadership updates.
- Help ensure reporting is focused on decisions required, delivery risks, blockers and forward-looking actions.
Partner & Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate workstream activity across Weir, Deloitte, SAP and other technology delivery partners.
- Track partner deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, risks and actions across Architecture, Technology and Solution workstreams.
- Ensure supplier inputs into plans, governance materials and readiness evidence are timely and accurate.
- Hold delivery partners accountable for agreed actions, milestones and outputs.
- Escalate supplier performance or quality issues with clear evidence and recommended interventions.
- Support the multi-party programme model, where Deloitte acts as Systems Integrator, SAP provides S/4 RISE products and hosting/support services, and wider partners contribute across technology, application and infrastructure delivery.
Testing, Cutover & Operational Readiness
- Coordinate Architecture, Technology and Solution readiness for testing cycles, cutover rehearsals, go-live and hypercare.
- Track technical and solution dependencies required for SIT, UAT, performance testing, integration testing and operational acceptance.
