Job Title: General Maintenance Worker

Work Location: Guam

Labor Category: Non-Exempt | CBA

Pay Rate:$21.47 per hour

Health & Welfare: $7.50 per hour

Scope of Work:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide base operations support by performing general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and facility systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and HVAC systems across a variety of basic trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
  • Repairs, replaces, and maintains fixtures and building components, including sinks, toilets, lighting fixtures, switches, doors, locks, windows, flooring, and structural elements.
  • Patches and repairs walls and surfaces; performs painting and other routine building maintenance as needed.
  • Conducts general maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment, machinery, and HVAC units.
  • Assists with Real Property Inventory activities and maintains accurate information regarding assigned facilities and equipment.
  • Follows company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable government regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support base operations and mission requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of related maintenance or facilities experience.
  • Strong English communication skills with demonstrated customer service and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible to access government worksites and successfully complete required background and drug/alcohol screenings.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, alternate and extended shifts, and on-call assignments as required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record in accordance with company policy, as the position may require operation of company vehicles or equipment.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various occupational hazards while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

US Pay Range

$21.47—$21.47 USD
