Job description

  • This role will support the management of the participating business, including to manage the bonus and other discretionary benefits recommendation, regular asset share reporting, determination of policyholder illustration / other regulatory disclosures, as well as other initiatives and ad-hoc projects.

Preferred skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in AXIS, Prophet ALS or other actuarial software is not required but a plus.
  • Experience in HK-specific Par management is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, commitment and responsibility as a team member.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and lead junior staff.

Qualifications

  • University Graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines.
  • Qualified actuary - FSA, FCIA, FIA, FIAA or equivalent, or good progression in actuarial exams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills on both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Support review and recommendation of discretionary benefits, including dividends, bonuses and non-guaranteed rates.
  • Manage regular production processes including asset share reporting, regulatory disclosures and maintenance and development of actuarial models.
  • Provide oversight and review of product-related materials, helping to ensure compliance with sound actuarial practices and relevant regulations, and proper development of policyholders’ reasonable expectations (PRE).
  • Other support on need basis: Provide actuarial support to Team Lead based on evolving regulations and other business need.
