We are actively seeking an accomplished Digital Business Analyst to join our Strategic Projects team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, leveraging your well-developed competencies in the practice of business analysis. Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting project delivery, ensuring successful outcomes for our strategic initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Engage collaboratively with stakeholders, closely understanding their business requirements and then translate these insights into precise and comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Analyze and document both current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) business processes to understand existing workflows, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and explore opportunities for improvement.
  • Create wireframes and front-end user journeys to visualize the proposed solution, engage closely with business stakeholders to gather feedback, and collaborate with the technical team to ensure seamless handover for development.
  • Collaborate on business cases, reports and presentations and provide analytical insights.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and QA team to achieve project objectives, and actively participate in project activities to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Assist in creating comprehensive test plans to ensure all aspects of the solution are covered and engage with business users during User Acceptance Testing to validate functionality and support in defect investigation from the functional perspective.
  • Prepare user friendly training materials for business users post launch to ensure users understand and effectively adopt the implemented solutions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Customer-facing Business, Power and Utilities to stay informed and up to date about industry trends and developments.

Requirements

  • Holding a recognised university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Possesses 5+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, digital product management, technology or software project management with a track record of working across business-facing and technology-facing roles.
  • Ensure seamless alignment with overall project objectives and delivery methodologies by adapting as needed to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Ideally have experience in Customer-facing Business, Power Generation, Engineering or related industries, allowing you to grasp the nuances of these domains and contribute effectively
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills, capable of building high-level commercial models to support digital solution business cases, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into technology terms that resonate with the business group, while illustrate the technical solutions in laymen terms to stakeholders from business perspective.
  • Leverage experience in cross Business Group innovation or technology projects to provide valuable and actionable insights to various strategic innovation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams across the organisation to achieve business objectives through effective teamwork.
  • Maintain a keen motivation for continuous learning, staying abreast of new technologies and trends.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams, external business partners and technology experts.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple initiatives under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both verbal and written Chinese and English.
