Responsibility

  • Grow and develop the merchant portfolio by identifying opportunities and promoting relevant payment solutions and services.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with merchants and stakeholders to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales, revenue, and profitability targets through effective account management and commercial planning.
  • Support merchant onboarding, application processing, and account set-up to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, monitor merchant performance, and provide regular updates on opportunities and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with onboarding, KYC, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions and positive business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Follow organisational, industry, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Deliver customer-focused outcomes and support day-to-day operational effectiveness.
  • Build positive, respectful, and inclusive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, initiative, and professionalism while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Contribute to team and business objectives and support additional responsibilities as required.

Profile

  • Degree in Banking, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in merchant acquiring, business development, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience within the banking or fintech sector would be an advantage.
  • Valid driving licence, where required for the role
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to business development and relationship management.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to support business growth.
  • Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality customer experiences through professional and responsive service.
  • Apply knowledge of payment and lending products to support customer and business needs.
  • Follow KYC, AML, compliance, and industry standards in all activities.
  • Use relevant digital tools and data insights to monitor trends and support informed decision-making.
