The work

Are you excited about the impact AI- has and will have on how we support our clients in the Finance domain? Join the Accenture Finance AI focus group and help translate emerging technologies into practical solutions for our clients/ CFOs across all the large companies in The Netherlands.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with Finance experts and AI specialists from our Data & AI team to reinvent the future of Finance. Your work will span from internal innovation proposition development for our clients, and client-facing support.

This internship is designed for a student who is interested in the intersection of finance and AI/technology; understanding the application of AI across all facets of the finance domain.

Your Colleagues

The AI focus group is part of the Finance team which is app. 80 colleagues in the Netherlands. We support CFOs to reinvent their finance responsibilities by combining finance expertise with data, technology and AI, to help them move from their strategic ambitions to implementation and measurable value.

Our focus includes:

• Designing the AI driven CFO organization, AI-enabled finance processes, operating models and technology landscapes

• Analytics for planning, forecasting, reporting and performance improvement

• AI upskilling, innovation, thought leadership and client demonstrations

• Working with our ecosystem partners, such as SAP, Oracle and Workday, to understand their AI developments and how we can best incorporate them into our day-to-day service towards our clients.

What you will do

Your activities will depend on your interests and strengths, the team’s priorities and the internship period. Examples include:

• Analyze Finance processes, pain points and AI use cases across value, feasibility, data, risk and adoption considerations.

• Research AI, automation and analytics trends for the Office of the CFO and translate insights into practical Finance opportunities.

• Map AI solutions to Finance capabilities such as FP&A, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Treasury, Tax and Reporting.

• Support client-facing deliverables, including market analyses, process assessments, and executive presentations.

• Contribute to AI upskilling through workshops and knowledge sharing within the Finance community.

• Supporting the organization of hackathons to discover new solutions/ use cases.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for curious, analytically strong master’s students motivated by Finance, consulting and emerging technologies

You are:

• Enrolled in a master’s program at a Dutch university for the full internship period.

• Studying Econometrics, AI, Data Science, Business Analytics, Quantitative Finance, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

• Interested in how Finance functions operate and how AI, analytics and automation can improve them.

• Comfortable with data, structured analysis and complex problem-solving.

• Proactive, hands-on and able to work independently in ambiguous situations.

• Able to communicate complex findings as concise, structured recommendations.

Bonus points if you have:

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling and agent-building platforms.

• Relevant coursework or practical experience in corporate Finance, M&A, accounting, controlling, financial planning or performance management.

• Previous internship experience

• Experience developing a proof-of-concept, dashboard, data product or other tangible analytical deliverable.
