Mō tēnei tūranga mahi / The Opportunity:

We are seeking an engaging and motivated Tutor to deliver our Level 2 New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Studies programme at our Hamilton campus. This is a full-time, fixed term opportunity till March 2027.

This programme combines foundation digital and technology skills with real-world applications in warehousing, distribution centres (DCs),inventory management and logistics operations. The successful candidate will inspire learners by connecting technology to practical industry environments, preparing them for future employment in the growing logistics and supply chain sector.

As a Tutor, you will be responsible for developing assessments, delivering engaging classroom-based learning and supporting learner success throughout the programme.

Classes are delivered on campus during the week, with a strong focus on helping learners develop:

  • Digital and technology skills at Tertiary Level 2
  • Understanding of warehouse and distribution centre operations
  • Inventory management and stock control fundamentals
  • Workplace communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence and readiness for employment within logistics and warehousing environments

You will create innovative and interactive learning experiences that connect technology concepts to real-life industry applications, ensuring learners gain practical, job-ready skills.

Ko Koe Tēnei | About You

You will bring a combination of industry knowledge, digital capability and a passion for developing young people.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification at Level 3 or above in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or a related field
  • Experience working within warehousing, logistics, distribution centres, FMCG, inventory management or supply chain environments
  • Strong digital and technology skills
  • The ability to contextualise technology learning within warehouse and inventory control environments
  • Previous teaching, training, coaching, mentoring, or assessment experience (preferred)
  • A genuine passion for supporting rangatahi and learner success
  • New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Level 5) or willingness to work towards it
