The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant funded contractual position.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• identify and register households for referrals into social protection and health programs
• conduct household screening and needs assessments in accordance with project protocols
• facilitate household navigation across multiple services by coordinating with partner organizations
• support households in accessing eligible health and social protection programs and completing required procedures and documentation, where needed
• follow up on referrals and resolve issues that may delay enrolment or service delivery
• maintain accurate and up-to-date household records throughout the referral and enrolment process
• escalate operational challenges and recurring issues to supervisors as appropriate
• ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with project protocols and safeguarding standards, including confidentiality of household information and data protection requirements
• participate in training, team meetings, supervision sessions, and other project activities as required
• undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to support successful project implementation.

Requirements:

You should have:

• Bachelor's degree in public health, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields
• relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
• experience in community health, social protection, community outreach, or development programmes
• fluency in Sindhi and Urdu, with good interpersonal and communication skills
• good organizational, documentation, and basic computer skills
• willingness to travel regularly within project districts
• resident of Sujawal/ Malir district
• familiarity with government health and social protection programmes
• experience working with community-based projects or development partners
• knowledge of local health systems and community structures in Sindh.
