Your Job

As an HR Operations Superviso r at Koch in Katowice, Poland, you will lead and develop a team of HR Operations Specialists responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, customer-focused HR services across the entire employee lifecycle (hire to retire) for approximately 15,000 employees across EMEA.

In this role, you will combine strong knowledge of Polish labor law with hands-on operational leadership to drive operational excellence, build scalable processes, establish clear ownership, and support a growing business in a continuously evolving environment. Working closely with Business HR, Payroll, Recruiting, HR Technology, Compliance, and business leaders, you will translate legal and business requirements into practical HR processes while creating a culture of accountability, learning, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer experience that adds real value to our employees and the business.

Our Team

You will be part of a dynamic EMEA HR Operations organization supporting employees and leaders across multiple businesses, working closely with HR Business Partners and regional stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality HR services that make a real impact.

Our team operates in a growing and evolving environment where services, processes, and capabilities continue to be built and strengthened. We are focused on operational excellence, local compliance, scalable solutions, and creating an outstanding employee and supervisor experience. As a Supervisor, you will provide direction, develop talent, build strong partnerships, and encourage your team to challenge the status quo, simplify processes, drive continuous improvement, and create sustainable value for both employees and the business.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Operations professionals, setting clear expectations, decision rights, priorities, and measures of success.
  • Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, including hires, contracts and amendments, employee data changes, time and attendance inputs, leaves, benefits administration, pay-related changes, transfers, reorganizations, and exits.
  • Serve as the HR Operations subject-matter expert for Poland, ensuring processes, documentation, and controls align with Polish labor law, statutory requirements, data privacy regulations, company policies, and internal compliance standards.
  • Monitor developments in Polish employment legislation and translate changes into practical process updates, controls, communications, training, and system requirements in partnership with HR Compliance and Employment Legal.
  • Build and stabilize HR Operations capability in a growing and challenging business environment, establishing fit-for-purpose processes, service standards, governance, documentation, and escalation paths.
  • Balance day-to-day operational excellence with long-term process improvements, leading effectively through ambiguity, changing priorities, increasing volumes, and evolving business needs.
  • Own service quality, compliance, and operational performance by using meaningful metrics, quality reviews, root-cause analysis, customer feedback, and risk assessments to improve outcomes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and expand HR Operations services while preserving appropriate local requirements and controls.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk operational cases, ensuring timely decisions, clear communication, appropriate documentation, and effective handoffs across teams.
  • Build trusted partnerships with Business HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Total Rewards, HR Technology, Compliance, and business leaders to clarify ownership and deliver seamless outcomes.
  • Lead projects, transitions, and change initiatives, including process design, knowledge transfer, readiness assessment, stakeholder communication, adoption, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Protect confidential employee and business information and ensure the team accesses and uses data only for legitimate business purposes.

PBM Supervisor Expectations

  • Model Principle Based Management in daily decisions and help team members understand how PBM principles apply to their roles, priorities, and interactions.
  • Know team members well enough to understand their talents, motivations, and comparative advantages; align responsibilities accordingly and create meaningful development opportunities.
  • Set clear role expectations and hold yourself and others accountable for commitments, quality, behavior, and results aligned with Our Values.
  • Provide timely, direct, and constructive feedback; conduct purposeful one-to-ones and performance discussions; recognize and reward meaningful contribution.
  • Empower employees by clarifying decision rights, removing barriers, delegating effectively, and encouraging critical thinking rather than creating dependency on the supervisor.
  • Create an environment where employees respectfully challenge ideas, share knowledge, experiment, learn from outcomes, and proactively solve problems.
  • Apply economic thinking when prioritizing work and investments, considering risk, opportunity cost, scalability, and long-term value creation.
  • Build strong knowledge networks and promote collaboration across functions, countries, and teams to achieve mutual benefit and superior results.
  • Connect daily work to Koch’s vision and business priorities, helping employees understand how their contribution creates value for customers and the enterprise.

  • Experience managing operational performance through service metrics, quality controls, workload planning, and continuous improvement.
