The role - Junior Backend .NET Engineer

As a Junior Backend .NET Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of our business applications. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the development of backend services using C#, .NET 8, and Entity Framework
• Assisting in the implementation of Web APIs and contributing to basic middleware tasks
• Writing and maintaining simple tests while gradually learning and applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
• Providing support in cloud migration activities
• Helping to troubleshoot issues and participating in performance improvements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and learn established engineering best practices.

Your profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience in in Backend .NET development, working with C#, .NET, LINQ and Entity Framework
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g. XUnit, Moq, AutoFixture)
• Initial experience with Cloud environments (Azure is an advantage) and CI/CD tools like Git or Azure DevOps
• Exposure to building Web APIs, as well as some familiarity with Middleware and WebSockets
• Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server
• Basic knowledge of Frontend development using React is considered a plus
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants is an advantage
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese.
