CSWIP Welding Inspector

The CSWIP Welding Inspector will be responsible for conducting welding inspections during pipeline installation, including fit-up, in-process, and final inspections. The role requires ensuring compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), monitoring welder performance, and verifying weld quality through visual inspections and relevant testing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding inspections (fit-up, in-process, and final inspection) during pipeline installation.
  • Monitor welder performance to ensure adherence to approved WPS.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds and confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare reports for project records.
  • Coordinate with construction and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company and client quality assurance procedures.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Graduate Engineer (Mechanical)
  • ASNT Level 2 in UT, MT, PT, and RT
  • Valid CSWIP 3.2.2 Certification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 12 years of Oil & Gas experience.
  • Minimum 2 Pipelay Barge Project experiences
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, standards, and inspection methods.
  • Good communication skills in any language (English preferred).
  • Age: 35+ preferred.

Preferred Nationality: Thailand, Brazil, Philippines (others may be considered).
