In this context, we are looking for an A or B Class Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (EHS) Specialist who will take leadership in the production area, develop the EHS culture, lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with our global organization.
More About the Role
Ensure that Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (EHS) activities are carried out in compliance with applicable legal regulations, company policies and global standards.
Lead the development of a proactive safety culture in the production area and promote behavior-based safety practices.
Manage the effective planning, implementation and follow-up of risk assessments, site inspections, hazard analyses and corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct root cause analyses for occupational accidents, near misses, environmental non-conformities and potential risks, and implement permanent improvement actions.
Keep emergency management systems up to date, plan drills and coordinate their organization.
Ensure the planning and implementation of legal OHS and environmental trainings and evaluate their effectiveness.
Monitor obligations under environmental legislation and manage waste management, environmental permits and sustainability activities.
Monitor energy, natural resource consumption and environmental performance indicators and develop continuous improvement projects.
Ensure the effectiveness of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems and continuously improve system performance.
Prepare for and lead internal audits, customer audits, certification audits and official authority inspections.
Coordinate with global EHS teams and manage English reporting, data analysis and performance evaluation processes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety performance by ensuring that corporate EHS objectives are implemented on site.

All About You
University degree in Engineering, preferably in Environmental Engineering,
Valid A or B Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate, with a willingness to develop,
Preferably experience in the label, packaging, plastics, printing or similar manufacturing industries,
Knowledge and experience in environmental management practices and related legal processes,
Proficiency in ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System practices,
Experience in actively participating in international customer, certification and official authority audits,
Experience in continuous improvement, Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and operational excellence practices,
Good command of English with strong written and verbal communication skills,
Ability to effectively monitor and implement occupational health, safety and environmental legislation,
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and process management skills,
Enjoys working in the field, takes initiative and is results-oriented,
Strong communication, coordination and leadership competencies,
Candidates residing in Izmir.
