About the role

The Marketing Manager will lead Grand-Pa, the biggest brand in the market and one of Haleon’s most commercially significant brands. Reporting to the Category Lead, this role is responsible for driving the long-term development and strategic direction of the brand, shaping the brand strategy and activation agenda to enable sustainable brand consumption, sales growth, and continued market leadership.

As the Grand-Pa Brand Marketing Manager, the role owns the strategic choices that shape future growth, including new product development priorities, promotion frameworks, media direction, and locally relevant activation guidance. It will work closely with in-market activation teams across MEA to guide and support effective delivery in line with approved strategies, translating consumer insights, market dynamics, and business priorities into clear growth plans and disciplined execution.

Key Accountabilities

Brand Strategy & Growth Delivery

  • Lead the annual brand strategy and long-term business planning for Grand-Pa across MEA Operating Unit.
  • Own the development and execution of growth plans to deliver against top and bottom-line growth, penetration and market share objectives.
  • Manage brand equity through successful development and deployment of toolkit.
  • Identify the key drivers of growth across consumer segments, occasions and pack architecture, and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Continuously assess category, shopper, consumer, and competitive dynamics to identify risks, opportunities, and required strategic shifts.
  • Ensure brand plans are aligned to business priorities and supported by clear performance measures and execution discipline.
  • Drive key decisions around portfolio priorities, communication strategy, activation focus, media direction, and investment allocation for the brand.
  • Strengthen consumer relevance by identifying meaningful insights, unmet needs, and winning demand-generation opportunities.
  • Prioritise and shape the NPD agenda, long-term innovation pipeline, promotion frameworks, and commercialisation plans to support sustained brand growth.
  • Act as the Grand-Pa Brand Lead for MEA Operating Unit, ensuring the brand remains competitive, relevant, and strongly positioned as the market leader.

Consumer-Led Brand Building

  • Develop integrated campaign direction across digital, traditional media, in-store, ecommerce, and market activation channels, ensuring execution supports the approved brand strategy.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are insight-led, locally relevant, and aligned with brand strategy and business goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to bring innovation, science, and brand value propositions to life in a simple and compelling way.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Own brand topline and support strong P&L delivery through disciplined planning, proactive performance management, and effective investment choices.
  • Manage marketing budgets with rigor, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest value activities.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize brand and campaign performance to maximize ROI and improve effectiveness.
  • Use data, insights, and market performance to challenge assumptions and guide decision making.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead in-market activation across Sales, Commercial Excellence, Finance, Medical, Regulatory, Supply, and other key stakeholders to ensure aligned and effective go-to-market execution.
  • Lead brand agenda within MEA Operating Unit to identify expansion opportunities and support execution of go-to-market strategy.
  • Lead agency partners and external stakeholders to deliver impactful campaigns and activation plans on time and within budget.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through strong business cases, clear recommendations, and data-led decision making.
  • Build strong collaboration across teams to ensure marketing strategy translates into flawless execution in the market.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • 10 years’ professional experience preferred, including time in progressive brand marketing roles with increasing ownership, decision-making responsibility, and regional brand leadership exposure.
  • Strong experience in OTC, FMCG, consumer healthcare, or similarly fast-moving consumer-led categories.
  • Proven track record of leading strategically important brands, shaping growth strategies, and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex brand agendas, influence senior stakeholders, and lead agency and activation partners to deliver integrated marketing programmes across markets.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics, shopper behaviour, and consumer needs, with the ability to translate insight into commercially actionable plans.

  • Confidence and judgment to manage high-profile, strategically important brand with a high degree of ownership.
  • Advanced stakeholder influence, including the ability to align, challenge, and secure support from senior decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy, including P&L levers, investment prioritisation, and performance management.
  • Deep consumer and shopper orientation, with the ability to convert insight into growth opportunities and activation strategies.
  • Ability to identify and activate growth levers with speed, precision, and strong commercial judgment in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong execution discipline and project leadership, with the ability to manage complexity while maintaining pace and quality.
  • Data-driven decision-making, with the ability to challenge assumptions, interpret performance, and optimise plans based on market, consumer, and commercial signals.
  • Strong omnichannel marketing capability across digital, media, e-commerce, and in-store execution, supported by data-led optimisation.
  • Pragmatic understanding of how AI and emerging technologies can improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency.

Leadership Expectations

The successful candidate will demonstrate ownership of business and brand outcomes, strategic thinking, commercial judgment, and the confidence to lead the biggest brand in the market across MEA OU. They will combine collaborative leadership with resilience, pace, and disciplined execution, balancing brand equity, growth, and profitability while guiding in-market teams towards effective delivery.
