We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Engineering Manager to join us in our Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time Basis.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering Management, you will lead the engineering delivery of Gas Transmission growth projects from FEED through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering delivery of assigned capital projects from detailed design through construction, commissioning and final handover to Operations.
- Develop and manage engineering scopes, technical specifications and project documentation, ensuring alignment with APA standards, regulatory requirements and relevant Australian and international codes.
- Build collaborative relationships across Energy Solutions, Infrastructure Delivery, Transformation and Operations to support integrated, practical and cost-effective project outcomes.
- Manage external engineering consultants and service providers, overseeing technical quality, commercial performance, budget and schedule.
- Manage technical and safety risks, design changes and assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle, including development and implementation of Technical Assurance Plans.
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to Design Development Engineers, while supporting design efficiency, standardisation and continuous improvement across projects.
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with relevant experience delivering capital projects within energy, infrastructure or a similar environment.
- Experience coordinating engineering activities across design, construction, commissioning and project handover.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to bring together multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Experience managing engineering consultants, technical scopes, budgets, schedules and design deliverables.
- Sound understanding of engineering assurance, technical change management, safety and risk management, and relevant engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
- A collaborative leadership style, with experience supporting, mentoring and developing engineers while creating an inclusive and positive team environment.
