In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team delivering strategic transport policy, legislative reform and high quality policy advisory services, focusing on road safety, driver licensing and vehicle registration. Tthis role plays a key part in shaping policy outcomes that support NSW Government priorities and deliver improved outcomes for the community.
Lead the development of policy reform, regulatory review and strategic policy initiatives, providing high quality advice, research and analysis to support informed decision making and the progression of legislation through Parliament.
Work across a broad range of policy areas, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and identify opportunities to drive policy innovation.
Lead the development of innovative policy solutions and strategic advice, building effective, evidence based outcomes that influence decision making and improve service delivery in a complex, fast paced environment with competing priorities and diverse stakeholder interests
Please note this is a fixed-term full-time opportunity until April 2028, based at the Elizabeth Street office, with a 50% workplace attendance requirement.

About you
• Your strong government policy expertise and stakeholder engagement skills, formed across policy development, regulatory reform, public sector strategy or policy advisory roles, will see you excel in navigating complex policy challenges, synthesising insights and delivering high quality advice, leading to well informed decisions, effective use of legislation as a policy tool and aligned strategic priorities.
• A great understanding of the government and parliamentary processes will set you up for success in this role
• You are recognised as a strategic and collaborative policy leader, skilled at developing policy advice, influencing stakeholders and leading complex initiatives, experienced in working within government frameworks, managing competing demands and delivering outcomes in high pressure, high impact environments.
