The Opportunity

If you are early in your career, or a recent Accounting graduate who has already gained some practical experience in credit, finance, banking or underwriting, this is a strong opportunity to keep building your career in credit risk with John Deere Financial.

We are looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgement and genuine interest in developing in commercial credit risk. Recent exposure to credit underwriting is ideal, particularly in a commercial environment, but it is not a deal breaker if your experience is broader and you are ready to learn.

You will develop hands-on experience assessing credit applications, analysing financial information and supporting practical risk-based decisions, while learning from an experienced and supportive team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assess and support the underwriting of credit applications using financial analysis, policy and sound judgement
  • Build your understanding of dealer and customer relationships within a commercial finance environment
  • Monitor borrower performance, establish appropriate credit limits and execute collection strategies where required
  • Prepare clear credit summaries, risk assessments and recommendations for review and approval
  • Negotiate and prepare credit documentation using Deere templates or legal agreements
  • Identify opportunities to support new and existing business growth
  • Contribute to credit process improvement, including the use of digital and automation tools
  • Learn from experienced credit professionals and progressively build your technical capability

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

  • Completed degree in Accounting
  • Some recent practical experience in credit underwriting, finance, banking or risk assessment; commercial credit exposure is ideal but not essential
  • Ability to interpret financial information with sound judgement, attention to detail and risk awareness
  • Self‑motivated and accountable, comfortable managing priorities independently while contributing to a team
  • An agile and adaptable mindset, open to change and evolving ways of working
  • Genuine willingness to learn and develop, including adapting to new tools, systems and automation over time
  • Strong integrity, resilience and commitment, aligned to John Deere’s values

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to commercial credit, agribusiness, equipment finance or related financial services
  • Interest in process improvement, digitisation or AI‑enabled credit solutions

Education / Experience

A completed degree in Accounting is required for this role.
