Duty Manager

The Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Takeaway service. This role ensures efficient service delivery, high standards of customer service, strong food safety compliance, effective stock control and team supervision.

The Duty Manager provides leadership to front-of-house staff, supports kitchen coordination, and ensures the takeaway operates in a safe, clean, organised and welcoming environment for all employees and customers.

About You:

  • 2 years’ experience in similar Duty Manager/Coordinator role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact sensitively and positively with culturally diverse people
  • Display leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to develop and support a team
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task and problem solve to ensure high-quality delivery of service
  • High attention to detail in presentation, hygiene, and customer service.
  • Good knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential

Qualifications and Minimum Experiences:

  • Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in a customer-facing or hospitality environment.
  • Experience using POS systems (Lightspeed highly regarded).
  • Supervisory or leadership experience desirable.
  • Experience working in a community-focused or remote setting is desirable.

Other Requirements:

  • Hold a current or ability to obtain - National Police check
  • Hold a current or ability to obtain - NLC Work / Resident permits (with assistance)
  • Manual Drivers Licence (Class C NT) (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current NT WWC Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain)
