For the Long-Term Power & Grid Modelling Team, within the Market Analysis Expertise Center (ECMA) of ENGIE Supply & Energy Management, we are currently looking for a Market Analyst (F/M/X) based in Brussels.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Market Analyst:

As a Market Analyst, you will support ENGIE’s business entities in understanding and anticipating the transformation of electricity markets across multiple geographies and time horizons.

Working within a transversal team of quantitative experts, you will contribute to strategic and operational projects for a wide range of internal clients, including Strategy, Trading, Renewable & Flexible Generation, Regulatory Affairs and Finance teams.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Develop and improve quantitative power market models to analyze long-term market evolution, technology deployment, investment economics and energy transition scenarios across Europe and Brazil.
• Deliver market intelligence and analytical insights supporting ENGIE's strategic decisions, investment opportunities and regulatory assessments.
• Produce long-term power market forecasts and scenarios used by multiple ENGIE business entities, including Strategy, Trading and Renewable Development teams.
• Translate complex modelling results into clear recommendations, presentations and decision-support materials for stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure consistency and quality of market analyses across geographies, business lines and forecasting horizons.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling methodologies and challenge existing market assumptions and practices.

YOUR PROFILE as Market Analyst :

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Data Science or another quantitative field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a genuine interest in power markets, energy systems and the energy transition.
• Good understanding of wholesale electricity markets and energy market fundamentals.
• Experience with quantitative modelling, optimization, data analysis or programming; Python is a strong asset. Knowledge of Plexos and/or SDDP is a plus.
• Ability to transform complex analytical outputs into clear business recommendations and impactful presentations.
• Autonomous, curious and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English (French and/or Dutch are assets).
