Facilities Associate

We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our team specializing in Facilities for our European Logistics Center in Rumst, Antwerpen, Belgium.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facilities operations through proactive maintenance, inspections, and targeted improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate facility and maintenance projects from planning through completion, balancing quality, timelines, safety, and cost requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between facilities management, employees, suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Enhance occupant satisfaction by providing responsive support and communicating facility changes, maintenance activities, and improvement projects effectively.
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity efforts by maintaining emergency systems, identifying risks, and assisting with compliance programs.
  • Optimize facility spaces and infrastructure by supporting workspace layouts, technical installations, and operational planning activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, preventive maintenance programs, asset management practices, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Contribute technical expertise and practical solutions to resolve facility issues efficiently while promoting a safe and productive working environment.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills when working with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and service partners.
  • Apply effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks, projects, and maintenance activities simultaneously.
  • Maintain a proactive, customer-focused mindset, identifying opportunities for improvement and responding quickly to facility needs.
  • Show a strong commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous learning while adapting to changing operational requirements.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, secondary education certificate, technical diploma, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or hands-on experience in facilities, maintenance, repairs, or technical operations.
  • Experience supporting facility operations, preventative maintenance activities, or contractor coordination is preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, emergency preparedness, and compliance processes is an advantage.
  • Certifications such as VCA VOL, forklift/reach/scissor lift, LOTO, or BA4 are beneficial.
