Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project governance and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a dedicated and dynamic team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in ensuring that project management practices align with Alstom’s strategic goals while driving consistent delivery and value realization across all project initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including engineering, finance, legal, and commercial teams, to ensure seamless project execution, develop governance frameworks, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of leading the Project Management support team and implementing robust project controls, but also ensuring the successful delivery of projects in alignment with Alstom’s standards and goals.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Representing the project management functions within the project and ensuring effective communication between project teams and corporate/regional teams.
  • Leading the Project Control team throughout the project lifecycle to monitor performance through KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cycles for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules to facilitate accurate progress reporting and recovery plans when necessary.
  • Ensuring adherence to Alstom’s standards and supporting project audits and reviews.
  • Managing relationships with partners and clients, including schedule delivery, reporting, and performance matters.
  • Implementing robust cost management, budgeting, and forecasting practices linked to project progress and look-ahead schedules.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (mandatory).
  • PMI certifications (e.g., PMP®, PgMP®, PfMP®) and IPMA Level 2 (mandatory).
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience in complex project environments, including client management and serving as a key interface to senior client representatives.
  • Strong expertise in planning/scheduling tools like Primavera, TILOS, and Ody.C (desirable).
  • Proficiency in FIDIC Contract and Claim Management, as well as Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Leadership skills with a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams across international time zones.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Competence in conflict and crisis management.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and drive change across organizational boundaries.
