- Uber Technologies Inc.
- Mumbai, India
- INR 4,000,000 – INR 7,000,000
About the Team
The Uber Advertising Sales team is looking for an experienced and strategic Agency Lead to be a founding member of our newly formed Uber Advertising division and play a key role in scaling our advertising business in the market. As the Agency leader, you will own Uber Advertising’s relationships and commercial strategy across India’s leading agency holding companies, media agencies, trading desks, and key independent agencies.
You will be responsible for building senior-level agency partnerships, developing joint business plans, unlocking incremental advertiser demand, and driving adoption of Uber’s growing suite of advertising solutions across our Mobility platform. This role will be central to shaping how Uber Advertising engages with the agency ecosystem in India. You will work closely with Client Partners and cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Product, Marketing, Measurement, Finance, and Legal to remove barriers to growth, strengthen agency advocacy, and consistently deliver on our partners’ marketing objectives.
What you'll do
- Own the India agency strategy across major holding companies, media agencies, trading desks, and strategic independent agencies to drive sustainable revenue growth. Build and deepen relationships with senior agency stakeholders, including CEOs, Heads of Investment, Trading, Digital, Strategy, Planning, and Client Leadership.
- Develop and execute JBPs and annual agency partnership frameworks covering revenue commitments, advertiser adoption, product penetration, innovation, measurement, and strategic initiatives. Partner closely with Client Partners to expand advertiser coverage, unlock new briefs, accelerate pipeline conversion, and increase Uber Advertising’s share of wallet across priority agency accounts.
- Own strategic commercial conversations with agencies, including pricing frameworks, volume-based agreements, rebates, trading structures, and other partnership models while maintaining strong commercial discipline. Drive education and advocacy for Uber Advertising across agency planning, strategy, investment, trading, and client leadership teams through training sessions, roadshows, workshops, and senior leadership engagements.
- Use market intelligence, agency feedback, competitive insights, and advertiser requirements to influence Uber Advertising’s India go-to-market strategy, product roadmap, pricing, and measurement capabilities. Develop scalable agency narratives, commercial playbooks, case studies, and partnership frameworks that can be leveraged across the broader India Ads sales organization.
- Act as the voice of the agency ecosystem internally and represent Uber Advertising externally as a senior leader within the India advertising industry. Be comfortable operating in a fast-growing business, taking ownership beyond defined responsibilities, and helping build the foundations required to scale Uber Advertising in India.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of experience in digital advertising, media, ad-tech, agency partnerships, platform sales, or a related commercial role. Strong experience managing relationships with large media agency holding companies and senior agency decision-makers in India.
- Deep understanding of the India media ecosystem, including agency planning and buying structures, investment teams, trading models, commercial agreements, and advertiser decision-making. Experience developing and negotiating large-scale commercial agreements, annual partnerships, or JBPs
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder commercial negotiations. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate agency relationships into clear revenue and business growth opportunities.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with senior leaders across agencies and advertisers. Ability to use data, market intelligence, and advertiser insights to build compelling business cases and influence investment decisions.
- Speed, resourcefulness, and a go-getter mentality. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity. Ability to navigate ambiguity, create structure where needed, and independently identify and remove roadblocks to growth.
