Environmental Compliance & Regulatory Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and statutory requirements issued by CPCB, SPCB, MoEF&CC, CGWA, and other regulatory authorities.
- Monitor adherence to Environmental Clearance (EC), Consent to Operate (CTO), Consent to Establish (CTE), and other statutory conditions.
- Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies for inspections, audits, approvals, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory environmental reports and returns.
Environmental Monitoring
- Monitor ambient air quality, stack emissions, water quality, effluent discharge, noise levels, and other environmental parameters.
- Ensure effective operation and monitoring of pollution control systems such as ESP, FGD, ETP, STP, Dust Suppression Systems, and Ash Handling Systems.
- Analyze environmental data and initiate corrective actions to address deviations.
Ash & Waste Management
- Ensure compliance with Fly Ash Utilization norms and related statutory requirements.
- Monitor hazardous waste, biomedical waste, used oil, e-waste, and solid waste management activities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for safe disposal and utilization of waste.
Audits & Sustainability Initiatives
- Conduct internal environmental audits and coordinate external audits.
- Implement environmental management systems in line with ISO 14001 standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives related to resource conservation, water management, waste reduction, carbon footprint reduction, and biodiversity management.
- Identify opportunities for environmental performance improvement and cost optimization.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain environmental records, statutory registers, approvals, and compliance documents.
- Prepare monthly MIS, compliance reports, presentations, and management updates.
- Support environmental due diligence and risk assessment activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with plant departments, regulatory authorities, consultants, and external agencies.
- Support community and CSR-related environmental initiatives wherever required.
- Provide guidance and awareness training to employees on environmental compliance and best practices.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering.
- Master's Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Management will be preferred.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Environment Management within Thermal Power Plants or heavy industries.
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws, pollution control norms, EC compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Experience in handling SPCB, CPCB, and MoEF&CC compliance matters.
- Knowledge of fly ash utilization, water conservation, hazardous waste management, and environmental monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis, and compliance reporting.
