The role requires an experienced Tender Leader who takes full ownership of complex Subsea Production Systems (SPS) pursuits from opportunity shaping through proposal submission and handover to execution. The successful candidate will bring structure, discipline and commercial rigor to the tender process, driving cross-functional teams to deliver competitive, executable and profitable solutions for our customers

The SR. Commercial Tender Manager must be a reliable partner to its peers and will be responsible for interaction with the Regional Leadership teams, Centre of Excellences (COEs) and HQ, beyond the day to day interface with Systems and Technologies Engineering and Costing teams to drive a consistent, optimised, system level strategy that has the Bid to Execute methodology at its core.

This person is naturally organized, follows through on commitments, asks difficult questions when needed and is not afraid to challenge stakeholders to ensure the right outcome is achieved. They can balance collaboration with accountability and are comfortable leading complex pursuits through influence rather than authority.
The SR. Commercial Tender Manager will be responsible for:
- Anchoring our Bid to Win strategy with standard/ fit for purpose product offerings and execution strategies, providing the link from Regional teams to our COEs, coordinating all inputs to our proposals and gaining necessary approvals.
- Providing support to Product Line and help to shape a competitive execution strategy, with ownership of Bid to Execute process governance.
- Driving Costing & Engineering teams for all relevant Product Line inputs to a pursuit, ensuring alignment to tender requirements and bidding strategy are met.
- Identifying risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies and interacting with key stakeholders as required to ensure they are adequately socialised and managed.
- Managing all commercial matters that could influence the bid strategy and support the Sales and Commercial Leadership team in delivering the proposal in accordance with the agreed strategy.
- Understanding customer drivers and tender requirements and translate those into actionable and winning opportunity strategies.
- Driving and taking the lead with engineering, sourcing, supply chain, planning, costing teams and any other stakeholders internally and externally to coordinate the preparation of detailed offerings, ensuring it is aligned to the agreed Bid to Win strategy and customer requirements.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in tender management, commercial operations, project management or related functions within the energy, oil & gas, subsea or EPC industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex and cross-functional pursuits involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand project economics, risk allocation, contract requirements and business drivers
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Highly structured and disciplined approach to planning, execution and problem solving
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions without direct reporting authority
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, challenging assumptions and constructively escalating issues when required to achieve the best outcome for the business and customer
