The Opportunity
This role is responsible for leading executional delivery, commercial performance and operational excellence across Glanbia Performance Nutrition’s European eCommerce platforms, spanning strategic marketplaces and DTC.
The role will own the day-to-day management of priority marketplaces, including Body & Fit, Bol.com, Galaxus, Jingdong, Otto, Kaufland and other strategically relevant platforms across Southern Europe, Germany, Austria and Benelux. In parallel, the role will lead the DTC platforms across Germany, France and the Netherlands, and provide hands-on operational support on Amazon execution in close partnership with the Senior Manager, eCommerce.
Working in close collaboration with the eCommerce Centre of Excellence (COE) and in-market commercial teams, this role ensures that central strategies, tools and standards are translated into consistent, high-quality execution in market, driving sustainable growth, disciplined performance management and strong channel integration.
This is a delivery-focused role suited to a strong eCommerce operator who thrives in detail, brings structure and pace, and operates effectively in a complex, multi-market, matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
Marketplace Ownership & Performance Management
- Own the day-to-day commercial performance, execution and optimisation of priority marketplaces across the region, including Body & Fit, Bol.com, Galaxus, Jingdong, Otto, Kaufland and other strategically relevant platforms across Southern Europe, Germany, Austria and Benelux.
- Translate regional and COE-led marketplace strategies into clear market-level execution plans, trading rhythms and KPIs.
- Drive strong marketplace fundamentals across assortment, availability, content quality, pricing and promotional execution.
- Manage marketplace calendars, performance reviews and in-year optimisation to deliver against sales, margin and executional targets.
- Ensure marketplace activity is tightly integrated with broader customer, pricing and route-to-market strategies in each market.
- Act as the primary point of ownership for marketplace execution across the region, bringing clarity, focus and accountability.
DTC Leadership
- Own and manage DTC platform performance across Germany, France and the Netherlands.
- Lead DTC trading calendars, promotional execution, performance optimisation and conversion improvement.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Tech and the eCommerce COE to ensure strong availability, content standards, site performance and end-consumer experience.
- Support the ongoing evolution of DTC’s role within the omni-channel strategy, ensuring it is well integrated with marketplace and Amazon plans and delivers clear commercial value.
Amazon Operational Support
- Act as a key executional partner to the Senior Manager on Amazon across the region.
- Support Amazon planning cycles, weekly and monthly performance tracking, executional issue resolution and in-year optimisation.
- Drive high executional standards across content, availability, pricing, promotions and operational hygiene.
- Work closely with the eCommerce COE to embed tools, analytics, retail media approaches and best practices into market execution.
Collaboration with the eCommerce COE
- Partner closely with the eCommerce COE on:
- Executional standards and ways of working
- Marketplace and Amazon tools, analytics and reporting
- Retail media and performance optimisation initiatives
- Continuous improvement of executional capability
- Act as a strong bridge between central capability and local execution, ensuring consistency while reflecting market realities.
- Provide structured feedback from market execution to support the evolution of COE frameworks, tools and priorities.
Commercial Performance & Delivery
- Own sales, margin and executional KPIs across managed marketplaces and DTC platforms.
- Lead regular performance reviews, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure eCommerce plans are clearly reflected in market forecasts, ABPs and commercial reviews.
- Maintain a clear understanding of commercial trade-offs between growth, profitability and brand integrity.
Cross-Functional & Market Collaboration
- Partner closely with:
- In-market Commercial Managers across Southern Europe, Germany and Benelux
- eCommerce COE teams
- Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams
- Act as a connector between regional strategy and local execution, ensuring alignment, clarity and pace.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Strong experience in eCommerce, marketplaces and/or DTC within a multi-market European environment
- Solid operational understanding of marketplace mechanics (e.g. Body & Fit, Bol.com, Galaxus, Jingdong, Otto, Kaufland) and DTC trading models
- Experience supporting or operating Amazon (3P), particularly from an execution and performance perspective
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with confidence managing KPIs, forecasts and trade-offs
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Fluency in English required
- Highly desirable: Dutch speaker; additional European languages a strong advantage
