About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our supportive and community focused team at Local Doctors Hill Park on a fixed term maternity leave cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working within a primary care environment, building meaningful patient relationships, and making a genuine difference within the local community.

You will work alongside experienced General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver high quality, patient centred care. Supporting a diverse patient population, you will play an important role in preventative healthcare, chronic condition management, health education, and the day to day delivery of nursing services.

We are looking for a confident and capable Enrolled Nurse who can work collaboratively within a busy clinical setting while maintaining a strong focus on patient outcomes and quality care.

What You Will Do

As a valued member of the clinical team, you will:

  • Support the delivery of high quality, patient centred nursing care.
  • Undertake clinical observations and routine health assessments within your scope of practice.
  • Assist with immunisations, recalls, health screening programmes, and preventative healthcare initiatives.
  • Support patients and their families through health education and wellbeing advice.
  • Work collaboratively with General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
  • Assist in the management of long term conditions and preventative health programmes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, culturally safe care.

What You Will Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Enrolled Nurse registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Previous experience working within Primary Care, General Practice, Urgent Care, or a similar clinical setting.
  • Strong clinical and patient assessment skills within your scope of practice.
  • Confidence working in a busy healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering culturally safe, patient centred care.
  • Well developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Confidence working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong digital literacy and clinical documentation skills.
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within healthcare delivery.

Experience using MedTech Evolution or a similar patient management system would be advantageous.
