What is the Opportunity?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic hands-on Tradesperson to join our Installation Team in Christchurch. The role of the Projects Installer is to work closely with our Projects Manager and installation team to install a range of medical equipment.

As a Projects Installer you will be expected to split time between hands on installations and administration tasks, you will be expected to build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. The role suits a competent tradesperson who’s looking for the opportunity to get some time off the tools and further their skills.

You will become an expert in our installed equipment and will also work alongside our Aftermarket Team to undertake Preventive and Reactive maintenance of Medical Equipment for our customers.

This is a specialist role working on products very few people do and suits a tradesperson with either construction, electrical or mechanical ventilation installation experience.

Your role will involve:

  • Installation and implementation of Arjo's installed products including ceiling hoists, baths and flushers disinfectors.

  • Both Administration and Hands on installation tasks to deliver installation projects.

  • Travel throughout NZ to work alongside our installation team to deliver quality projects.

  • Working on small and large construction projects and in a range of facilities including Hospitals, Aged Care, Private Homes, Schools and Community projects.

  • Carrying out maintenance, repairs and testing of Arjo’s range of products at customer facilities

  • Working both independently and in a team to deliver installations safely and to a high standard

  • Working positively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver fit for purpose solutions

  • This is a full-time role and you will be provided with a Company Service vehicle, Mobile phone and Laptop.

To be successful in this position, you will possess:

  • Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS) or Electrical Service Technician (EST) qualification and EWRB registration (ideal but not essential)
  • Strong NZ construction site experience
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products and experience with project software solutions.
  • Problem solving and fault-finding skills with a strong desire to achieve a high level of professional customer service;
  • A Clean Full Driver’s License and Good personal presentation;
  • The ability to work independently or in a team with good communication to both customers and colleagues.
