The Role:
Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
Location: Scandinavia, Stockholm preference
The Field Sales Engineer (FSE) will promote and develop business with responsibility for solidifying MACOM’s position as the preferred partner for our compelling portfolio of RF, Microwave, Networking & Photonics capabilities across the Nordics & Baltics Region. This is a high-visibility role with significant contribution towards the organization’s Strategic Plan underpinned by aggressive Opportunity Generation (Design Wins & Critical Milestones) aimed at meeting or exceeding Bookings targets.
Success in this role will be demonstrated by executing against a regional sales strategy - aligned with the RSM - that creates a long-term, interdependent relationship with key customers’ stakeholders. Collaboration and alignment with numerous functional stakeholders, e.g. BU/PL Leads, Sales Operations & peers (other FSEs & FAEs) will be essential to accomplish objectives.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for sales of the entire MACOM portfolio of products spanning Industrial & Defense, Data Center & Telecom markets in the Nordics & Baltics Region. The role will report directly to the RSM, Stockholm-based and be responsible for the following:
· Growing annual sales in the region (direct & indirect).
· Coordinating with other regional peers relative to major and "Focus” accounts to meet overall account and corporate objectives.
· Submitting accurate & timely business forecasts, i.e. Opportunity Pipeline & Bookings.
· Supporting Channel Partners & participating in quarterly reviews with to ensure sales targets are met.
· Developing new markets and customers, also supporting product lines in new product definitions and technical requirements from customers to development of new products and technologies.
· Publishing and distributing customer contact and sales trip reports to management and product lines.
· Supporting Sales Operations as required on Channel strategies, contracts & and quote approvals.
Qualifications and requirements:
· B.Sc. Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
· 5+ years in a Technical Sales role with RF, Microwave & ideally, Photonics experience
· Sales experience in territory assigned, ideally including Rep/Reseller & Distributor engagement
· A solid track record of excellent negotiating, presentation and written communication skills (fluency in English and at least one of the Scandinavian languages inc. Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish or Danish a must with preference extend to polyglots)
· Experience collaborating within and across sales teams to increase penetration into Focus accounts
· Intuitive ability to prioritize efforts and quickly identify and resolve challenges
· Self-motivated team player with ability to balance personal goals with those of the organization
· Ability to travel approximately 60% (may include international travel)
· Pref. role location is Stockholm but other connected, market-relevant locations may be considered
