Enrollment Specialist (Remote)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Enrollment Specialists to support member enrollment and eligibility operations within a large healthcare organization. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, and health plan operations while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process enrollment requests accurately and efficiently while adhering to state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
  • Review, analyze, and maintain enrollment data within enrollment systems and databases.
  • Audit enrollment files to ensure records are complete, organized, secure, and compliant.
  • Research and resolve enrollment discrepancies, customer inquiries, and account-related issues.
  • Monitor enrollment inventories and ensure all requests are completed within established service-level guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate membership and eligibility information across multiple systems.
  • Provide professional support and education to internal and external customers regarding enrollment processes, eligibility requirements, COBRA regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and government healthcare programs.
  • Communicate enrollment status updates through system documentation, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure seamless enrollment processing.
  • Escalate critical customer concerns to leadership when appropriate.
  • Perform account reconciliations and support ongoing process improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
  • Strong computer proficiency and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a production-focused environment

Work Environment

  • 100% Remote
  • Standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Equipment provided

  • High-volume enrollment processing and data entry
  • Collaborative team atmosphere with frequent interaction across departments
  • Extensive use of enrollment systems, databases, and documentation tools

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
