Job Description:

Responsible for assisting Summit and Mountain guests with reservations for the restaurants, hotel, entertainment and special events; making group and host reservations; assisting and covering Supervisor shifts; assisting with the switchboard and directing calls to appropriate individuals; taking and delivering accurate messages; resolving minor customer disputes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all times.
  • Assists Supervisor/Manager with projects, assignments and shift coverage as needed.
  • Assists Summit and Mountain Guests as well as Casino Hosts with reservations for the hotel, entertainment tickets, restaurants and special events. Assists with promotional mailings.
  • Inputs rooming lists for Tour & Travel and Sales Group.
  • Audits same day and next day arrivals to ensure accuracy of reservations.
  • Assists PBX Operators with their duties when necessary.
  • Monitors radio communications and contacts various areas through the radio system.
  • Relieves PBX Operators and Central Services Representatives for breaks and lunch.
  • Resolves guest conflicts/complaints or refers matter to the appropriate department or individual for proper resolution.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the hotel room types, rates, facilities, and current and upcoming special events in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of proper emergency procedures and administers them over the intercom system in a calm and clear voice as needed.
  • Contacts in-house Security and Emergency Medical Technicians as needed and calls for help from in-house and outside agencies (Police, Fire Department, etc.) when deemed necessary to report emergency situations.
  • Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Performs any reasonable request made by management.

Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED required with six months to two years experience in a hotel or casino environment.

Knowledge of PBX equipment, basic computer programs.

Bi-lingual Spanish helpful.
Must possess excellent communication skills and a clear speaking voice.

Must be able to operate a computer, typewriter, paging system, beepers, radios, copy and fax machines.

Must be capable of remaining calm when responding quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.

Must possess the ability to attend to many items and details simultaneously with accuracy.
