Description
SUMMARY:
Provide assistance to management of all health and safety processes & programs for the facility in accordance with all applicable regulations, documents and health, safety standards/regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development of written safety and health programs that include policies, recognition, standard operating procedures, job safety analysis, alerts, training and accountability with regard to all corporate, local, state, and federal regulations. Reviewing regulations annually for change and compliance. Build relationships with local and state agencies.
- Coordinate all safety training with a calendar of topics for quarterly safety training for supervisors and monthly safety training for all associates. Conduct orientation with all new hires including but not limited to all safety and health issues that may arise from his/her employment.
- Performing in-plant accident investigations to determine true root cause, then develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences with team members. Report findings and corrective actions through APRISe for effectiveness audits. Maintain charts and graphs to analyze data to find accident trends and develop remedies for unsafe conditions or actions. Participate in MIOSHA CETs training for G.I. and OSHA 30 training in first 90 days. Ad

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. First Aid, CPR, AED- First Responder experience is a plus. Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Globally Harmonized System / HAZCOM training. OSHA 30-hour GI training a plus.
