Qorvo’s Test Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, Connectivity and Sensors and Global Operations business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Support characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Analyze wafer sort and final test data to identify yield trends, electrical failures, and opportunities for test optimization.
- Assist in debugging test hardware, probe cards, load boards, and test programs to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing engineers to investigate issues and perform root cause analysis on failing devices.
- Execute bench-level electrical testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators to validate device performance.
- Develop Python, LabView and Excel-based automation tools for data analysis, report generation, and test result tracking.
- Perform correlation studies between characterization and production test environments to ensure measurement accuracy and test consistency.
- Document test procedures, debugging findings, and engineering reports to support product qualification and release activities.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by evaluating engineering samples and validating test coverage.
- Contribute to yield improvement initiatives through statistical analysis of test data and identification of manufacturing process variations.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, electronic circuits, and testing methodologies.
- Classwork or experience with Analog/RF Signal Fundamentals is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB is a plus.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, wafer sort, or automated test equipment (ATE) is preferred.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
