Civil QA/QC Engineer – Job Description

Job Title: Civil QA/QC Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer to ensure that civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and inspect civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control procedures .
Conduct inspections for concrete, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, waterproofing, excavation, backfilling, and finishing works.
Review material submittals, material approvals, and test certificates.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams for inspections and approvals.
Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) and follow up on approvals.
Identify quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and test records.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, ISO standards, and relevant construction codes .
Coordinate with laboratories for concrete, soil, aggregate, and other required material testing.
Assist in handling NCRs, observations, and site quality issues .
Conduct regular site quality inspections and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
Participate in quality meetings and coordinate with the project team to achieve project quality objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in civil construction projects.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Knowledge of ITP, MIR, WIR/IR, NCR, Method Statements, and material testing .
Good communication and documentation skills.
UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
