Description

• Manage and supervise civil construction activities for underground cable projects.
• Coordinate excavation, trenching, duct banks, joint bays, manholes, cable corridors, road crossings, and reinstatement works.
• Plan and monitor daily construction activities and ensure achievement of project milestones.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, and Cable Installation teams.
• Supervise and manage civil subcontractors and site construction teams.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and productivity at site.
• Review approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and construction procedures before execution.
• Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications, and site-related engineering issues.
• Ensure civil works are executed in accordance with project specifications and approved standards.
• Coordinate inspections with QA/QC, client, and consultant and ensure timely closure of NCRs and observations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, excavation safety, permits, temporary works, and site safety procedures.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify potential delays.
• Coordinate work fronts and interfaces between civil construction and underground cable installation activities.
• Coordinate with authorities, utilities, consultants, and other stakeholders as required.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.
• Support the Construction Manager in resource planning, cost control, and productivity improvement.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings, handover documentation, and project close-out activities.
• Identify construction risks, constraints, and potential delays and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure proper coordination and handover of completed civil work fronts for cable installation.
• Support the Construction Manager in achieving project targets for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil construction.
• Strong experience in underground cable or power transmission projects.
• Experience in excavation, trenching, duct banks, joint bays, manholes, road crossings, and reinstatement works.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and construction teams.
• UAE/GCC experience in power or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction, QA/QC, HSE, and project requireme
