As the Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the proper repair and servicing of vehicles assigned to your team and that the team achieves maximum productivity. The Team Leader is also responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do
- Lead and support an assigned team of technicians while remaining actively involved in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Coordinate workflow within the team to help ensure repair work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to technicians with complex diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor repair progress, identify delays or obstacles, and help resolve issues affecting productivity or completion times.
- Review work as needed to help ensure repairs meet manufacturer, dealership, and quality standards.
- Support the development of technicians by providing coaching, technical guidance, and hands-on assistance.
- Communicate with Service Advisors, Shop Foremen, Parts, and management regarding repair status, parts needs, technical concerns, and workflow.
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and quality-control activities on customer and dealership vehicles as needed.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure the team maintains clean, organized, and professional work areas.
- Support team productivity, efficiency, quality, and accountability while contributing to the overall performance of the Service Department.
- Stay current on manufacturer training, technical bulletins, diagnostic procedures, and evolving vehicle technology.
What We Are Looking For
- Significant automotive technician experience in a dealership or high-volume repair environment.
- Advanced diagnostic and repair skills across a broad range of vehicle systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction, coaching, and support to other technicians.
- Ability to organize and coordinate workflow while balancing individual repair responsibilities.
- Ability to diagnose complex concerns and use service information, wiring diagrams, diagnostic equipment, and technical resources effectively.
- Strong commitment to repair quality, efficiency, productivity, and fixing vehicles correctly the first time.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, Service Advisors, Parts personnel, Shop Foremen, and management.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and accountability in a fast-paced shop environment.
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Pay: $70.00 - $70.00 / flag hour
