Operations Procesess Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Operations Procesess Manager is responsible for driving global business performance through the standardization, optimization, and governance of planning processes across the value chain. This role establishes an integrated, data-driven planning framework that aligns demand, supply, and financial objectives, enables cross-functional collaboration, improves operational efficiency, strengthens supply chain resilience, and ensures strategic alignment between business processes and supporting systems.
Responsibilities
- Define, standardize, harmonize, and deploy global planning process standards, ensuring consistent data definitions, effective operational handoffs, and seamless system integration across functions.
- Establish and lead cross-functional governance structures by defining, appointing, and guiding Process Owners and Process Stewards within the planning domain.
- Drive organizational transformation initiatives by enabling process adoption, capability development, and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the redesign and enhancement of the Order Confirmation Engine in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to ensure customer order commitments are based on validated material and capacity availability.
- Drive functional and system improvements that prevent unverified auto-commitments and support accurate first-time order confirmations.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve advanced Available-to-Promise (ATP) and Capable-to-Promise (CTP) capabilities within the planning ecosystem.
- Develop and deploy constrained planning models that incorporate material, bill of materials (BOM), production capacity, machine, and labor constraints before order confirmation.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and IT, translating planning requirements into system enhancements and overseeing solution design, testing, deployment, and global rollout activities.
- Ensure alignment and integration of business processes and IT systems through close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
- Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings to prioritize, plan, and monitor process and system enhancements in D365 and related applications.
- Approve solution designs and support governance processes for new system developments.
- Coordinate system releases, testing activities, defect resolution, and deployment readiness in partnership with business and IT teams.
- Govern the documentation and continuous improvement of the Target Operating Model (TOM), ensuring processes are translated into scalable standards, policies, and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain training materials and support organizational learning in collaboration with Process Owners, Process Stewards, and trainers.
- Define, implement, and monitor KPIs to measure process performance, compliance, adoption, and effectiveness.
- Establish and oversee reporting standards to ensure harmonized performance reporting across all locations.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and support process excellence.
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring business outcomes.
- Collaborate with process owners, managers, and functional leaders to ensure planning processes remain efficient, compliant, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent English communication skills required; German language skills are advantageous.
- Proven experience in a comparable role within business excellence, process management, or business transformation.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and enterprise IT environments.
- Deep knowledge of global ERP systems, particularly MRP functionality, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Experience leading business process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives in a global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Experience overseeing system enhancements, solution design reviews, testing activities, and release management processes.
- Strong capability to translate technical concepts and system requirements into clear business language.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to align process and system initiatives to business goals.
- Effective collaboration skills and the ability to build productive partnerships across functions and regions.
- Strong technical understanding of business systems, planning processes, and process governance frameworks.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
