Job Description

Are you an organised and reliable Storeperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented team member to join our hotel in a key operational support role.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this position plays an important role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods throughout the hotel. You will work closely with all departments to maintain stock levels, support daily operations, and ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.

About the Role

As our Storeperson, you will be responsible for the acceptance and handling of all incoming deliveries, ensuring inventory supplies are sufficient to meet the hotel's operational requirements and that all stock transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner.

This is a part-time position (30 hours per week) with a 7:00am start, Monday to Friday p aid at the Hospitality Award rate of $27.08 per hour. You must have full Australian working rights to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
  • Ensure goods are correctly stored and rotated in accordance with health, safety and food handling requirements
  • Maintain organised and secure storeroom areas
  • Distribute goods to relevant departments as required
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
  • Record stock movements accurately within inventory management system PurchasePlus
  • Support monthly stocktakes and inventory audits
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries and stock requirements.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or stock variances
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a Storeperson, Receiving Clerk, Warehouse, or Inventory Control role, ideally within hospitality, food service, or a similar environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach.
  • Physical capability to safely lift and move stock as required.
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
