The Opportunity:

The Area Lead Warehouse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated warehouse area, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, handling, and movement of materials. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse personnel, maintains compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, and ensures product integrity throughout the warehousing process.

The Role

· Supervise daily warehouse operations within the assigned area to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials.

· Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse management systems, ensuring inventory integrity within PVC and AMB warehouses.

· Coordinate, assign, and monitor daily work activities to achieve operational, quality, and service targets.

· Oversee the accurate receipt, scanning, storage, and movement of materials in accordance with established procedures.

· Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements, including GMP and warehouse standards.

· Investigate and resolve operational issues, escalating risks and exceptions as required to maintain business continuity.

· Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to inventory transactions and material movements.

· Train, coach, and support team members while assisting with audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent vocational/technical qualifications combined with significant relevant industry experience.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping operations within a global or regulated manufacturing environment.

· Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring team members, leading shift-based operations, and assigning and monitoring work activities.

· Experience using SAP and warehouse management systems for inventory control, material tracking, scanning, and stock accuracy management.

· Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical warehousing best practices, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and safe work permit requirements.

· Proven ability to support audits and inspections, maintain accurate records and documentation, train operators on standard processes, and proactively identify and escalate operational issues.
