The Non-Inventory Receiver leads the day-to-day operations of the Non-Inventory (NIR) team, coordinating with L1 associates to ensure the efficient flow of non-inventory goods across the fulfilment centre. Reporting to the Site Procurement Manager (SPM), this role combines hands-on operational execution with team leadership, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate L1 Non-Inventory Receivers in daily task execution and prioritisation
• Train and onboard new NIR associates
• Direct and support L1 associates in best practice execution
• Attend GEMBA walks and Daily Deep Dives in proxy of the SPM
• Ensure continuity of NIR operations by arranging L1 backfill through Operations or Agency partners
• Ensure accuracy of non-inventory goods receiving and put-away performed by L1 associates
• Receive goods into Coupa system (data entry) and maintain accurate records
• Oversee shipping supplies cycle counts for accuracy
• Coordinate and schedule delivery times to align with site dock appointments
• Ensure yard staging area collections are booked and occurring, and maintain yard fullness below required thresholds
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards (5S) across all non-inventory areas
• Monitor stock levels and flag any stock concerns proactively; chase the GPCS team, other sites, or vendors directly to mitigate potential stock-outs
• Respond to ad-hoc requests from site stakeholders for supplies, equipment, or services
• Escalate site-based issues to Vendor Managers for resolution
• Audit soft services and support soft services vendor management
• Research missing non-inventory shipments and assist with payment inquiries from Accounts Payable
Basic Qualifications
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 38 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Must possess a current PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) license
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office applications experience
- Experience in managing teams
