Strategy Project Manager

We're growing, and we're looking for a Project Manager to lead the projects that make that growth possible. The role sits in our Strategy Division and covers new site establishment, manufacturing and assembly capacity duplication, master planning and automation, both here in Australia and overseas.

About the role

You'll own projects end to end. That means scope, program, budget, risk and quality, from the first feasibility assessment through to handover and operational readiness. One quarter you might be running site selection and due diligence for a new facility. The next you could be managing the fitout, commissioning and training that brings it online.

Day to day, you will:

• Manage projects end to end, covering scope, program, budget, risk and quality
• Lead new site establishment, capacity duplication and master planning, here and overseas
• Prepare project plans, business cases and cost estimates, and manage budgets and variations
• Procure and manage consultants, contractors and vendors, from tender to contract close out
• Run site selection and due diligence, and coordinate with international locations on set up and compliance
• Engage stakeholders across the business and with authorities, landlords, councils and regulators
• Report to leadership through status reports, dashboards and governance papers
• Meet WHSEQ requirements across all project phases, including construction and fitout

Travel

A willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required. Travel is project dependent, so some projects involve frequent overseas travel and others are run largely from our Hume, ACT office.

What you'll bring

• A track record delivering capital or establishment projects on time and on budget
• Commercial acumen across budgets, cost control and contract management
• Proven ability to run multiple projects across different locations and time zones
• Stakeholder management and negotiation skills at executive level
• Discretion with commercially sensitive information, including M&A activity
• Sound judgement when decisions have to be made on incomplete information
• Strong writing across business cases, governance reporting and contracts
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and vendors
• Working knowledge of MS Office and systems such as Procore and MS Project

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Current Australian driver's licence
• PRINCE2, PMP or similar certification (desirable)
• Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, construction or industrial environment (desirable)
