Senior Business Systems Analyst

LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services.

We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst with a passion for the digital transformation, AI, and business improvement. You'll combine strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology, driving meaningful outcomes in a complex enterprise environment.

This is a contract opportunity in Brisbane for an initial 6-month duration with an expectation to be onsite at least 3 days per week.

The Role:

• Contributing to the successful delivery of digital, data, and AI initiatives across both project and BAU environments.

• Developing, communicating, and monitoring change plans, project schedules, and delivery milestones to ensure objectives relating to time, cost, and quality are achieved.

• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and control functions to ensure solutions are aligned to business needs, are fit-for-purpose, and deliver measurable value.

• Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement, trusted advisory support, and the timely delivery of high-quality documentation and recommendations.

• Leading the adoption and continuous improvement of best-practice business analysis methodologies, processes, and standards across digital and AI initiatives.

• Demonstrated expertise in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, conducting fit-gap analyses, facilitating process design workshops, and supporting solution configuration, testing, deployment, and user enablement activities.

• Strong process analysis and modelling experience, including current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) process mapping, with the ability to drive alignment and consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst delivering complex technology and transformation initiatives.

• Thrives at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into practical solutions.

• Has strong stakeholder management skills and can confidently influence, challenge, and build consensus across all levels of an organisation.

• Brings experience delivering digital transformation, system integration, SaaS, data, or AI-enabled projects.

• Has experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

• Possesses excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

• Takes ownership, works autonomously, and remains calm and solutions-focused in complex environments.

• Ideally brings experience within Financial Services, Investments, Funds Management, or another highly regulated industry.

• Enjoys working collaboratively and building trusted relationships across diverse business and technology teams.
