Food Service Assistant

🥗 About the Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our residents, families, and staff by helping deliver high‑quality meal services in line with food safety standards and aged care quality requirements.

Salary- $29.78 per hour + 25% casual loading + NFP benefits

Casual role with 5+ day availability, weekdays preferred.

Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Delivering meals across dining areas within the residence
  • Supporting basic food preparation when required
  • Assisting with planning and delivery of functions and special events
  • Following catering schedules and food safety programs
  • Supporting residents with service delivery aligned to Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Upholding safe food handling and hygiene practices across the catering team

You’re someone who brings warmth, reliability, and a positive attitude to everything you do.

You will have:

  • A caring and compassionate approach
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to understand residents’ needs
  • Availability to work across a 7‑day rotating roster
  • Food Handling & Hygiene Certificate (required)
  • Previous experience in aged care or commercial catering (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP compliance
