Are you detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and passionate about helping service partners achieve successful outcomes?
We're looking for a WFA Claims Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting Workforce Australia claims activity, ensuring eligible claims are accurately prepared, compliant, and submitted on time to maximise outcomes for our service partners.
About the Role
As a WFA Claims Officer, you'll work closely with CoAct service partners to manage the end-to-end claims process, from identifying claim opportunities through to lodgement. You'll provide guidance on documentary evidence, compliance requirements, and best practice claims preparation while building strong relationships that support partner performance and successful claim outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, assess and submit eligible Workforce Australia claims within required service delivery periods.
- Review documentary evidence to ensure claims meet contractual and compliance requirements.
- Support service partners to identify claim opportunities and convert partial claims into full outcomes.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with assigned service partners through regular engagement and support.
- Educate partners on claims compliance, evidence requirements, common risks, and best practice processes.
- Monitor claims activity, identify barriers to lodgement, and provide practical solutions to improve outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, educational resources, and claims process enhancements.
- Collaborate with the broader Claims team to achieve individual and team performance targets.
About You
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and support partners positively.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret guidelines and apply compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
- Experience processing claims within employment services, government-funded programs, or similar compliance-driven environments.
- Knowledge of Workforce Australia, Transition to Work (TTW), or related employment services contracts.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting guidelines, policies, and contractual requirements.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and educate stakeholders on compliance obligations and processes.
- Experience achieving performance targets, KPIs, or productivity measures.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience using claims or case management systems such as JobReady, ESS, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills.
- Experience in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance-related activities will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to employment services, business administration, or contract management environments would be advantageous.
