We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cafe Team Leader to join our leadership team and help drive service excellence in this dynamic environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Café Manager, the Cafe Team Leader plays a key role in the day-to-day leadership and success of Cornerstone Café.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll lead from the front, support a busy service operation, coach team members and ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience. You'll thrive in a high-volume environment and enjoy motivating a team to consistently deliver outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support café operations during service periods.
• Supervise, coach and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Ensure all food, beverage and service standards are consistently maintained.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate team activities during peak trading periods.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on teamwork, accountability and service excellence.
• Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
• Provide training, coaching and ongoing performance feedback to team members.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and workplace safety.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, food safety and WHS requirements.
• Promote Club events, promotions and services to members and guests.
• Support operational efficiency and contribute to achieving business objectives.
About You
You're a confident hospitality leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
• Previous experience in a café, hospitality, food & beverage or customer service environment.
• Leadership, Team Leader or Supervisor experience within a hospitality setting.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy trading periods.
• A hands-on and proactive leadership style.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and customer expectations.
• Current RSA and RCG qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster across days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Australian working rights.
