Location: Brisbane Corporate Office + Blackwater Village, QLD
FIFO: 5:2 (Monday to Friday)
Travel: Weekly travel to Bowen Hub operational sites
Reporting To: General Manager, Operations

Position Overview

The Regional Manager, Bowen Hub Operations is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple village operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of accommodation, hospitality, catering, maintenance, administration, retail, and support services.

Based at Blackwater in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, with time each month in the Brisbane corporate office, this role partners closely with Village Managers and key stakeholders to drive operational excellence, enhance customer satisfaction, achieve financial targets, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The position requires regular travel to site to provide leadership, support operational performance, and strengthen client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Village Managers to achieve operational, financial, and service delivery objectives.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, customer service, and operational excellence across multiple sites.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to maximise efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Develop workforce capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, operational procedures, contractual requirements, and legislative obligations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, and key operational metrics to achieve business targets.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and workforce planning initiatives across the region.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and customer outcomes.
  • Act as the key operational liaison between site-based teams and corporate support functions.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Business, Hospitality, Operations Management, related discipline, or significant experience in lieu

Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within hospitality, accommodation, facilities management, catering, resources, or a related service industry.
  • Experience leading multi-site operations and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience developing and leading high-performing teams through periods of growth and change.
  • Strong background in client relationship management and service delivery.
  • Experience managing compliance within safety, quality, and environmental frameworks.
  • Previous experience within remote accommodation, village operations, or resource sector environments is highly regarded.
