ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Wilson Security is inviting applications for the position of Site Manager at a prominent Perth university.
The Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of security services across multiple university locations. The successful candidate will lead an established team of Shift Supervisors, Control Room Operators, Patrol Officers, and relief staff.
This is a high-profile contract with strong operational standards and established client relationships. Expectations for the incoming Site Manager will be high, with a focus on maintaining reliable service delivery, supporting the team and continuing to improve contract performance.
The successful applicant will receive an appropriate transition and handover, with ongoing support available through the Client Service Manager, Duty Manager and broader Wilson Security management team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Site Manager will provide visible leadership across the contract and maintain regular engagement with the client, university stakeholders, supervisors and frontline team members.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing daily security operations across all contract locations
• Providing leadership, direction and support to supervisors and team members
• Maintaining strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders
• Monitoring employee performance, attendance, conduct and compliance
• Coordinating roster coverage, leave, onboarding
• Supporting training, toolbox talks and employee development
• Overseeing incidents, complaints, investigations and operational escalations
• Ensuring site procedures and client instructions are followed
• Supporting audits, inspections, safety requirements and corrective actions
• Monitoring missed hours and other service-delivery risks
• Preparing operational reports and providing clear management updates
• Supporting university events, additional services and changing operational requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve communication, team capability and service delivery
ABOUT YOU:
You will be a visible and approachable leader who communicates professionally, takes ownership and follows matters through to completion.
You will be expected to set clear standards, support the development of supervisors and hold team members accountable when required. You must also be able to balance client expectations, employee needs and Wilson Security requirements within a busy 24/7 environment.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Current Western Australian Security Officer licence
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Experience supervising or managing security team members
• Strong client service and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience managing incidents, escalations and operational issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sound organisation, reporting and problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of computer based reporting and security systems
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Experience within a university, corporate or other large multi-site environment will be highly regarded. A Certificate IV in Security Management or another relevant qualification is also desirable.
